On 06 December 2025, the Institute of International Finance Education (IIFE) – Academy of Finance solemnly held the 15th Anniversary Celebration (07 December 2010 – 07 December 2025). The event marked a 15-year journey of establishment, development, international integration, and the affirmation of IIFE’s position in the field of finance and economics education in Vietnam.
The Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy of Finance presented flowers to congratulate the Institute of International Finance Education.

Attending the programme, on behalf of the University of Greenwich, was Dr. Rosie Nguyen – International Admissions Manager in Vietnam – Representative for International Partnerships in Southeast Asia, University of Greenwich (United Kingdom).
Representing the Institute’s partners was Senior Colonel Nguyen Viet Duan – Deputy Head of the Labour Organization Department, Corps 12, Truong Son Construction Corporation.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu – Chairman of the Trade Union, Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Lien – former Deputy Director and former Chairman of the Academy’s Trade Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Viet – former Deputy Director and former Chairman of the Academy’s Trade Union, together with representatives of the leadership of faculties, departments, centres, and institutes.
On behalf of the Institute of International Finance Education, the attendees included Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – Director; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duong Nghieu – Former Director; Dr. Nguyen Bich Thuan – Deputy Director; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thien Son – Former Deputy Director; along with the Institute’s lecturers and staff, and nearly 150 students, alumni, and DDP & MSc learners. Together, all participants reflected on a proud journey – a journey marked by continuous effort, innovation, and breakthrough development.

15-Year Milestone – Affirming a Pioneering Position
Established under Decision No. 3207/QĐ-BTC dated 07 December 2010, the Institute of International Finance Education quickly became a prominent hub connecting Vietnamese education with the world.
Speaking at the Ceremony, NGƯT.Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, affirmed that the establishment of the Institute of International Finance Education was a strategic step in the Academy’s international integration process, with the mission of “contributing to the training of high-quality human resources in economics and finance for society.” Students and learners of IIFE have made their mark in numerous major competitions and forums, demonstrating dynamism, creativity, and strong adaptability to the global learning environment, while also spreading Vietnamese cultural values to the world.

He emphasized that in the coming period, international partners are keen to expand and introduce more new programmes at the Academy of Finance, in line with global development trends and the demand for high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s economy. This is a positive signal reflecting the strong confidence in the training quality of the Academy and the Institute of International Finance Education.

At the Ceremony, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen, on behalf of the Institute’s academic community, expressed her sincere gratitude to generations of leaders, lecturers, staff, partner institutions, as well as alumni, students, and learners who have accompanied, supported, and contributed to the building and development of the Institute of International Finance Education as it stands today.

The Institute of International Finance Education expressed its gratitude to the Former Leaders of the Institute, who laid the very first foundations and devoted their passion to building and developing IIFE.
Numbers That Speak – A Brand Firmly Established
By 2025, the Institute had enrolled 21 MSc cohorts (nearly 500 learners) and 10 DDP cohorts (more than 1,000 students), achieving an employment rate exceeding 98%. Of these, approximately 10% are employed in State agencies (the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the General Department of Taxation and provincial tax departments, etc.); around 35% work at Big Four auditing firms, and when including Big Four banks, major groups, state-owned corporations, and multinational enterprises, this figure rises to nearly 65%. These figures serve as compelling evidence of programme quality, training effectiveness, and the strong confidence society places in the Institute of International Finance Education.
Beyond academic excellence, the learning environment at IIFE is distinguished by its vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, with six student clubs and a dedicated Communications Ambassador team that have created a series of signature annual activities such as DDP Connect Plus, Debutantes, Winter Warmth, Coffee Talk, ACCA Workshops, and more. These activities have shaped a distinctive “DDP – Be the Best” identity—dynamic, youthful, and unique—contributing to the promotion of an image of international students who are energetic, confident, and resilient.
With an integrated system of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the Institute is building a comprehensive education value chain that meets international standards within Vietnam. The concept of a “global citizen” has been brought to life right at the Academy of Finance, serving as a clear testament to the reputation, quality, and relentless efforts of the IIFE community over the past 15 years.

A Meaningful Gift from MSc Alumni
The ceremony in which IIFE lecturers and students personally arranged shimmering candles and together cut the birthday cake created memorable moments for the celebration. These images symbolised the continuity of values within the IIFE family across generations, fostering an atmosphere that was warm, proud, and deeply connected.

The smiles, words of encouragement, congratulations, and reunions of generations of leaders, lecturers, learners, and students together form a powerful source of inspiration, enabling the Institute of International Finance Education to continue moving forward with confidence on its path of innovation and international integration.
