On the morning of October 18, 2025, at the International Conference Center (37 Hung Vuong), the Institute of International Finance Education – Academy of Finance solemnly held the Degree Conferment Ceremony for the 2024–2025 academic year for 132 new bachelor’s graduates of the Dual Degree Program (Each Side Awards One Bachelor’s Degree – DDP) and 12 new master’s graduates of the Finance and Investment program (MSc).
In a dignified setting, the ceremony was a special milestone, marking the diligent and creative journeys of DDP students and MSc learners in training and study, and contributing to the Institute of International Finance Education – Academy of Finance’s growing reputation, quality, and stature in international educational cooperation toward educating global citizens.

Representing the University of Greenwich (United Kingdom), Dr. Raj Dass expressed pride in the strong partnership between the two institutions over more than a decade. He affirmed that DDP and MSc students, “as graduates of a London university studying in Vietnam, you hold a distinctive position to succeed in an ever-changing, globalized economy. Graduates of the University of Greenwich and the Academy of Finance are equipped with in-depth knowledge in their fields. You have developed the skills needed to thrive in this environment: communication, critical thinking, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and—most importantly—adaptability and innovation.”
4. Proud achievements: Quality proven by numbers

According to the report by Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen, Director of the Institute of International Finance Education, the 2024–2025 academic year recorded several standout results:
12 learners in the MSc program completed the course, with 42% graduating Excellent and 50% Distinction.

A total of 132 DDP students graduated, including 14 Excellent (10.6%), 47 Very Good/Distinction (35.6%), and 69 Good (52.3%). Under the University of Greenwich classification, 75 students earned First Class Honours (56.8%), 55 received Second Class Honours (41.7%), and 2 obtained Third Class Honours (1.5%).

Notably, the impressive results are exemplified by the 2025 DDP valedictorian, Duong Thi Mai Dung, with a GPA of 3.90/4.0, who received First-Class and Second-Class Honor Scholarships for three consecutive years with a total value of VND 175 million.

Beyond academic achievements, DDP students—especially Cohort 6—also made their mark in research and extracurricular activities: Students Tran Mai Phuong and Nguyen Ha Trang won Third Prize at the national-level student research competition (Ministry level) and First Prize at the Academy level; Nguyen Ha Trang will publish and present a paper in the Proceedings of the 8th SEDBM International Scientific Conference in November 2025; Students Tran Minh Huy and Do Thi Thuy Trang won Second Prize at the 2023 Econometrics Olympiad; Students Ta Hai Anh and Tran Huong Giang won Second Prize in the 2024 “Golden Pen” writing contest. Fifteen Cohort 6 students completed the Party awareness training course, of whom eight were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam—testament to their all-round development in knowledge, skills, political stature, and aspiration to contribute.

The DDP Home: Where character is nurtured for far-reaching aspirations
In her closing remarks, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen shared with emotion: “We are living in an era when AI can do many things for us. So much can be copied, simulated, even created by technology. But there are things that no software, no algorithm can replace—the heart of the teacher and the youthful spirit of students.” She affirmed: “DDP will always be a home-sweet-home when you return.”

The Director shared a heartfelt message: each new bachelor’s and master’s graduate should “always keep alive the fire of confidence, courage, and creativity—the qualities of the ‘Global Citizens’ that DDP has nurtured,” and “remember to dare to dream, dare to step forward, and shine to achieve the brightest successes.” “For the nation, you are the generation that continues the story of peace. For the Academy of Finance, you carry on 63 years of development. And for the Institute of International Finance Education, you are those who continue the story of knowledge and integration.”

On behalf of the graduating students, valedictorian Duong Thi Mai Dung expressed gratitude to the faculty, family, and friends. She shared with emotion: “If there is one thing DDP has taught us, it’s that no success comes easily, but every effort is worth it.”
