Candidates will have 25% of their points deducted up to cancellation of the entire exam results if they violate the regulations of the national high school graduation examination, such as marking answers, exchanging or looking at classmates’ papers, or bringing unauthorized items…
This content is based on the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Specifically, a candidate will receive a reprimand if they look at or exchange papers once during the exam session, and 25% of that test’s points will be deducted.
If the candidate has been reprimanded once but continues to look at or exchange answer sheets or scrap paper, copy answers or allow others to copy their answers, they will be warned

Not only during the exam, but also during grading, if teachers find marked papers, the candidate will have 50% of the total points of the exam deducted.
Candidates will receive a score of zero if they copy from unauthorized materials, submit two or more answer sheets for the same subject, have multiple handwriting styles in the exam paper, or write parts of the exam on scrap paper or paper not in compliance with regulations.
If two or more papers receive zero points for these reasons, the exam result will be canceled.
In cases of falsifying documents to receive priority status, using illegal degrees or certificates, having someone else take the exam on their behalf, causing disturbances, sabotaging the exam, assaulting others…, the candidate’s dossier will be sent to the competent authorities for handling in accordance with the law.
The national high school graduation exam takes place on June 26–27 with more than 1.16 million candidates, nearly 100,000 more than last year. This year, both students under the new general education program (2018) and the old program (2006) participate, with different subject counts and exam papers.
Candidates taking the exam for the first time under the 2018 program must take four tests, including the compulsory Mathematics and Literature, plus two elective subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Informatics, Technology, and Foreign Language). The 2025 national high school graduation exam scores will be announced on July 16, one day earlier than last year.
