Institute of International Finance Education – Academy of Finance works with the University of Greenwich on training cooperation and development

On the morning of 13 November 2025, the Institute of International Finance Education (Academy of Finance) held a working session with the leadership delegation from the University of Greenwich to discuss the Ministry of Education and Training’s new requirements for the Master of Science in Finance and Investment (MSc) program and the Dual-Degree Program (DDP), in which each institution awards its own bachelor’s degree. The two sides reached an agreement on the development orientations for the joint training programs in the coming period.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the University of Greenwich were Prof. Petros Ieromonachou – Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange, Business School, University of Greenwich; and Mr. Nicholas George Hand – Director of International Partnerships, Business School, University of Greenwich.

On the side of the Institute of International Finance Education were: Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – Director; Dr. Nguyen Bich Thuan – Deputy Director, together with the Institute’s staff members and lecturers and students of the DDP program.

In a warm and open atmosphere, the two sides discussed the new requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training for the Master of Science in Finance and Investment (MSc) program and the DDP program. The discussions covered various topics, including learning outcomes, program structure, faculty requirements, quality assurance conditions, and legal documentation under the new regulations. This marks an important step toward finalizing the joint training program in accordance with current regulations.

At the working session, the two sides also discussed issues related to innovating training content and methods to meet the demands of international integration and the orientation of developing high-quality human resources for the joint training programs at the Institute of International Finance Education. The leaders of both institutions also exchanged strategic directions to elevate the partnership between the two universities, opening up prospects for deeper cooperation during 2025–2030, such as curriculum innovation aligned with the trends of Industry 4.0, faculty development, and enhanced collaboration in international conferences.

The leaders of the University of Greenwich met with lecturers and students of the Management Accounting Class 2 of the DDP program to listen to their sharing, practical learning experiences, and vibrant student activities at the Institute.

On this occasion, Prof. Petros extended congratulations to the Institute of International Finance Education on its 15th anniversary. Looking ahead to the milestone of 10 years of implementing the DDP cooperation program, Prof. Petros expressed his hope that, with the determination and strategic vision of the Institute, the program will continue to build strong credibility and trust among institutional leaders, employers, parents, and students.

On behalf of the Institute of International Finance Education, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – Director, invited the senior leaders of the University of Greenwich to attend the Celebration Ceremony of the 10th Anniversary of the Dual-Degree Program (DDP).

The University of Greenwich delegation’s visit and working session at the Institute of International Finance Education – Academy of Finance concluded successfully. Both sides will continue to strengthen the implementation of the cooperation agreement, opening up more opportunities for Vietnamese students and learners to access an international-standard learning environment, better meeting the diverse and growing needs of learners, while elevating the coordination and partnership to a new level.
