The Congress of the Trade Union Division of the Institute of International Finance Education for the 2025–2030 term was successfully held

On the morning of November 19, 2025, the Institute of International Finance Education (IIFE) – Academy of Finance solemnly held the Congress of its Trade Union Division for the 2025–2030 term. The Congress summarized the results of activities for the 2023–2025 period and set out orientations and objectives for the new term.

The Congress was honored to welcome Mr. Vu Van Khien – Standing Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of the Academy of Finance, Deputy Chief of Office of the Academy, who attended and provided guidance.

Representing the Institute of International Finance Education were Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – Director of the Institute of International Finance Education, along with 14 Trade Union members of the Institute.

Overview of the Congress

Comrade Dinh Thi Thao, Chairwoman of the Institute’s Trade Union, emphasized the significance of the Congress in objectively evaluating achieved results and defining directions and tasks for the upcoming term.

In the summary report, comrade Lo Thi Tuyet affirmed that during the past term, the Trade Union of the Institute of International Finance Education (IIFE) made great efforts, maintained solidarity, and achieved many outstanding accomplishments. The Institute’s Trade Union focused on communication and education activities, encouraged members to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws; supported and accompanied staff and lecturers; and actively responded to emulation movements, contests, charity activities, and programs launched by higher-level Trade Unions. The collective members upheld a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and commitment to building the unit.

Notably, during the 2019–2024 period, the Institute of International Finance Education achieved excellent results and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for its significant contributions to the cause of socialist construction and national defense. This marks an important milestone, affirming the persistent efforts of the staff, lecturers, and Trade Union members of IIFE.

Trade Union activities aimed at supporting member welfare have been closely prioritized: coordinating with the administration to ensure proper implementation of policies; organizing visits and support for members in illness or personal events; maintaining women’s union activities; and effectively implementing charitable and community initiatives.

Trade Union members also actively participated in scientific research with numerous ministry-level and institutional-level projects completed on schedule, contributing to improved professional quality and the reputation of IIFE.

During the discussion session, Trade Union members proposed various ideas to enhance the effectiveness of Trade Union activities and strengthen the connection among organizational unions.

 

Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen’s remarks at the Congress

Speaking at the Congress, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – representative of the Party Cell of Research and Postgraduate Institutes, and Director of the Institute of International Finance Education – acknowledged the contributions of the Institute’s Trade Union during the past term and emphasized a key task:

“Party development work needs to be given greater attention. The Trade Union must proactively identify, nurture, and recommend outstanding members to the Party Cell, contributing to building a high-quality Party membership and strengthening the Institute’s political capacity.”

 

Dr. Vu Van Khien’s directive remarks at the Congress

On behalf of the higher-level Trade Union, Dr. Vu Van Khien praised the sense of responsibility demonstrated by the Trade Union of the Institute of International Finance Education and emphasized its important role in safeguarding members’ rights and continually innovating its operational methods to suit the new context. He directed:

“Trade Union members of IIFE must actively pursue learning, particularly in technology and foreign languages, to meet the demands of the digital age and international integration. The Trade Union should act as a bridge to promote a culture of self-study and self-improvement throughout the unit.”

Election of the Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 term and adoption of the Congress Resolution

Each ballot represents the responsibility and trust of Trade Union members

The Congress conducted the election of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term in accordance with regulations and in a democratic and transparent manner. As a result, the Congress elected two members to the Executive Committee: Dinh Thi Thao and Lo Thi Tuyet. The Congress also unanimously appointed comrade Dinh Thi Thao as Chairwoman of the Trade Union and as the convener of the first meeting of the Executive Committee.

The newly elected Executive Committee was introduced before the Congress in the trust and confidence of all Trade Union members.

 

The Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Institute of International Finance Education for the 2025–2030 term was introduced at the Congress and received congratulatory flowers from the higher-level Trade Union.

Following this, all delegates voted unanimously (100%) to approve the Congress Resolution, affirming the action motto for the new term: “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development.”

Affirming determination for the new term

The Congress of the Trade Union Division of the Institute of International Finance Education for the 2025–2030 term concluded successfully after a period of serious, responsible, and effective working. The Congress demonstrated the will and determination of all Trade Union members to continue building a strong and active Trade Union, to genuinely support members’ welfare, to foster a spirit of innovation, and to accompany the development of the Academy of Finance.

With the achievements attained and a high level of consensus, the Trade Union of the Institute of International Finance Education enters the 2025–2030 term with renewed confidence and hope, ready to implement the goals and tasks set forth in the adopted Resolution.
