What do candidates need to prepare for registering for the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination?

GD&TD – The registration dossier for the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination has been clearly stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in its Regulations.

Specifically, the registration dossier includes: Examination registration form; valid certificates to claim priority and incentive policies (if any); a recent 4×6 cm identity-style photograph, taken no more than 6 months prior to the submission date.

For candidates who completed the General Education/Continuing Education program but did not graduate from high school in previous years, a copy of the high school academic transcript is required.

For candidates already holding a high school diploma who wish to use their examination results for higher education admissions, a copy of the high school diploma is required.

For candidates who already possess an intermediate vocational diploma intending to use their results for higher education admissions, required documents include a copy of their intermediate vocational diploma, along with copies of their academic records or transcripts proving the completion of general high school-level subjects as per regulations outlined in the Education Law and current MOET guidance.

Certification of preserved examination scores (if any) must be provided by either the principal of the school where the candidate sat the previous examination or by the local Department of Education and Training (DOET) in cases where candidates took the exam in a different province.

Regarding submission of registration documents: Candidates who completed the General Education/Continuing Education program in the year of examination are required to register online. Specifically, candidates complete the online registration form on the electronic portal designated by MOET and submit original or certified copies of documents claiming priority or incentive policies to the registration site.

Candidates unable to register online may directly submit their documents by completing the registration form issued by MOET and attaching copies of documents for claiming priority or incentive policies (if any).

For all other candidates, registration will be conducted online via the MOET-designated electronic portal using a VneID account for login and form completion.

Afterward, candidates must print two copies of their downloaded registration form from the system and submit them, along with copies of supporting documents for priority or incentive policies (if any), to their registration site, according to regulations.

Candidates unable to register online may directly submit their documents by completing the registration form issued by MOET and attaching copies of documents for claiming priority or incentive policies (if any).

Regarding the registration site: Candidates who completed the General Education/Continuing Education program in the examination year may register online or directly at their current high school.

Candidates belonging to other categories must register online or directly at locations (registration sites) designated by their local Department of Education and Training.

Regarding subject registration for graduation recognition: Candidates must register for Literature, Mathematics, and one optional examination consisting of two subjects selected from: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Agricultural Technology, Foreign Language.

Candidates select two subjects from those studied in grade 12 for the optional examination. Candidates are permitted to register for a foreign language different from the one studied at their high school.

Candidates who already possess a high school or intermediate vocational diploma, intending to use results for higher education admission, register only for subjects according to their preferences. For the optional examination, candidates may select up to two subjects.
