(TBTCO) – At the 2025 Admission Preference Selection Fair, thousands of parents and candidates from Hanoi and neighboring provinces visited the Academy of Finance’s consultation booth to receive specific answers regarding the academy’s training majors.

On July 19, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the 2025 Admission Preference Selection Fair was held, organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training).

At the event, parents and students asked many questions to the experts in the Advisory Board, including representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of National Defense, and several academies, universities, and colleges who directly responded.

In addition, a large number of parents and candidates visited nearly 160 consultation booths of training institutions to seek and receive direct advice from schools or to learn about study abroad opportunities and international joint training programs in domestic and foreign schools.

In 2025, the Academy of Finance adds 14 new training programs, including 9 programs oriented towards international certificates to meet candidates’ needs for in-depth study according to global standards; and 5 new standard programs with majors/training programs anticipating current trends such as: Data Science in Finance; Artificial Intelligence in Finance – Accounting; Political Economy – Finance; Law; Financial Mathematics.

At this year’s Fair, the Academy of Finance’s consultation booth attracted the attention of thousands of parents and candidates; many questions about admission quotas, training majors, procedures, admission conditions, and joint training programs were directly and thoroughly answered by leaders of faculties, departments, and experienced lecturers of the academy.

Do Hung Anh (Bac Ninh) shared: “My father and I took a bus from 5 a.m. to Hanoi to attend the fair. I am choosing to use my scores in the A01 subject combination (Math, Physics, English) to apply for majors in economic-related fields. However, after seeing the large fluctuations in Math and English scores this year, I was worried. After visiting the Academy of Finance’s booth and listening directly to the lecturers explain and forecast the admission scores, I felt more reassured to register for my desired major at the Academy.”

In an interview, Dr. Luu Huu Duc – Head of Training Management Board (Academy of Finance) – said that in 2025, the academy plans to admit 6,320 students across 44 training programs, including 14 new programs.

The admission methods this year include: direct admission according to the Ministry of Education and Training regulations; combined admission and admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam results.

For combined admission, the academy applies it to candidates with outstanding academic results and international certificates; high school transcripts of 3 years with excellent grades or higher…

The outstanding group includes students with national or international consolation prizes; third prize or higher at provincial excellent student contests (in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, English, Literature); holding IELTS Academic certificates at least 5.5, TOEFL iBT from 55 (excluding Home Edition), or SAT 1050/1600 points.

Sharing about the training orientation linked with international integration, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen – Director of the institute of international finance education (Academy of Finance) – emphasized: “The renewal requirement of higher education in the digital era is not only updating curricula but also transforming the philosophy of training and teaching organization. The Academy of Finance actively realizes this by launching new majors following trends, improving programs aligned with the labor market, and strengthening international cooperation.”

The Academy of Finance’s consultation booth attracted the attention of thousands of parents and candidates.

According to Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen, one of the outstanding highlights in this strategy is the DDP program – an international joint training model between the Academy of Finance and the University of Greenwich (UK).

Dr. Huyen stated that the DDP program is designed for candidates aiming for international study but wishing to study in Vietnam at a reasonable cost. This is an official high-quality training program awarding degrees by two prestigious universities and offers many prominent values: two official Bachelor’s degrees issued by the Academy of Finance and the University of Greenwich, with global value; exemption from studying and testing all 9 F-level subjects (F1–F9) in the ACCA certification – the international professional accounting and auditing certificate…

Particularly, the DDP program suits candidates with good English proficiency, holding international certificates such as TOEFL iBT and SAT – factors that enhance admission chances and scholarships from the school.
